yesterday, i went to pasadena to decorate Rose Parade Floats for the parade tomorrow. it was pleasant enough, cold and a bit rainy, but still enjoyable. this is the fourth year that i have taken part in the decorating, and often times it is a brag-worthy experience. i hope to post pictures later, but for now i bid you adieu.
Everyone has a secret project. An idea that takes life deep within the cerebral soup sloshing about in the heads of whoever has life. It can be malicious, honorable, creative, or ridiculous; It can come on a whim or be long and deep. Whatever yours is, this is mine

yesterday
was the last day of the year. i hate how quickly time flies, i hate the feeling as millions of opportunities, time wasted and regrets go whooshing by. still, i suppose that with the death of a year, new and different occasions are sure to arise.

nearly christmas
and still it does not feel like the holidays. thats the down side of living in cali, you never see the seasons. any-way, this is slightly humorous: my parrot that i have had for five+ years has just let me in on a little secret. for as long as i have had it, i assumed it was a male, then yesterday morning i saw to my surprise that it had laid two eggs. i think i am in a state of shock, crazy bird...

pimpin (part 2)
so, time for my (wannabe) weekly pimpin of the arts! this weeks feature is a good one
(i guarantee it) Ladies and Gentlemen, i present to you Tracy Butler's the one, the only, Lackadaisy Cats comic!

this web comic is exceptional in nearly every way possible. the art, the story, historical accuracy, imagination, web design, character development and design... i could go on and on.
I strongly encourage everyone to check out this masterpiece. you shall not regret it.

satisfaction.
done with school for the semester. damn, it is good to be free. not that i mind school, i actually quite enjoy it; i am just not a fan of finals.... speaking of which, here is a small (and not so well done) example of what one of my animation classes covered.
to make this i used paper, chalk, marker and cardboard. it is supposed to be the seven deadly sins, but meh, i just wanted to finish it. i am not a fan of experimental animation, (preferring traditional) but i got a decent grade in the class, so its all good i suppose.
Speaking of animation, Walt Disney's "the Princess and the Frog" came out this past weekend which was a revolution in my mind due to the fact that it was a return to traditional animation. That is a thing we do not see a whole lot of now-a-days. so, go see it. embrace it. support it. haha, listen to me, i'm a talking billboard.

pimpin
ok, figure i might as well do this here. time for a weekly pimpin of the arts! check out Tessa Stone's "Hannah is not a boys name". its a hilarious web comic about an over enthusiastic paranormal investigator who manages to get himself (and his lamo vampire buddy, and undead narrator) into all sorts of trouble.

its witty, snide, blunt, and a little out there. the art is incredible and the textures really make everything "pop'. check it out and enjoy!
also, another pie that Tessa Stone has her thumb in is a second web comic entitled "Under Lock and Key" which is a collab with artist Sarah Stone. its just as good as the first and i hope to see it finished.

Another
